The sloe - the perfect location for the beautiful landscape
The blackthorn is native throughout Europe and can be found at altitudes up to 1,400 meters. In the wild, the blackthorn is often found along the edges of the forest and as a trail boundary, providing ample food for bees and birds.
The blackthorn loves it warm and dry
In order for the wild fruit bush to enchant the garden with a white flowering spring in the spring and to bear plenty of fruit in autumn, you should give it as bright a spot as possible. The thorny shrub needs plenty of space to thrive. It is therefore more suitable for spacious gardens.
The ideal site conditions:
In particular, when planting a sloe hedge, you should make sure that all plants find in about the same conditions. Only then does the hedge develop into a uniformly grown privacy screen. The sloe lets me well with wild shrubs such as cherry laurel, hawthorn, juniper or wild roses socialized.
