An evergreen ball tree enhances the front yard
Ball trees are perfect for small gardens or front gardens, as their crowns are usually compact and they are rather short-lived - tall specimens can be up to ten meters, but most varieties remain at a final size of between three and four meters. Evergreen spheres set even in winter accents, as they remain green throughout the year - perfect if the wind and privacy should be maintained even in the cold season.

In the search for an evergreen tree, the easy-care and robust conifers are of course an obvious idea - except for the native larch (which also does not grow in a spherical shape), the needles remain on the tree for several years and are not discarded like the autumn deciduous trees. There are two types of spherical coniferous trees: fake cypresses (such as Lawson's cypress), the native yew, the sugarloaf spruce, or the Korea fir often intersect in spherical shapes, but do not naturally grow like that. For this reason, a regular shape cut is necessary. Other varieties have been specially bred with a spherical crown and can be planted either as a soil-covering shrub or as a semi or high stem.
